I get upset when “poor” people insult me – Sonnie Badu jabs
American-based Ghanaian gospel singer Sonnie Badu has responded angrily to online haters who are insulting him over his opinions on social media.
Angry and frustrated, the gospel musician told Hammer Nti on Pure FM that the folks who have been attacking him online are likely living in homes without electricity.
“What bothers me is that sometimes people who only have a little credit on their phone and no light at home have the nerve to say something rude to you, and then it’s like a bunch of houseflies jump on what they said about me,” Sonnie Badu is reported to have said.
Further, Sonnie Badu challenged his online detractors to a face-to-face matchup, if they dare harass, bully, or insult him again.
“I normally say if you are a brave man, come and stand in front of me and say what you want to say because I’m not afraid to say that,” he dared. “However, those who are higher tinkers will always understand what I’m saying because I’m not afraid to speak my mind”
