Berthold Winkler, a renowned Ghanaian YouTuber and aeronautical engineer known professionally as Wode Maya, has shared his grass to grace story.
When the Ghanaian started making videos about life in China, he became popular. His visual content went viral around the globe, attracting a large number of followers to his YouTube channel.
Maya’s channel is regarded as one of Ghana’s finest. Wode Maya, who has 703K subscribers on YouTube, is the second most famous Ghanaian channel after rapper Sarkodie, who has 707K subscribers.
Wode Maya revealed in an interview with Abena Yeboah that leaving his former job (aeronautical engineer) to become a YouTuber is worth it.
Wode Maya went on to say that in terms of finances, engineering is not comparable to YouTube.
Wode Maya said he gets offers and even some corporates and businesses pay him before he visits them to interview them and showcase their firms to the rest of the world, something his education experience could not have helped him with.
Wode Maya, a YouTuber for the past eight years, says he only has five years left before leaving.
Wode Maya said that he will opt to leave YouTube at any time and still he will live good for the rest of his life. Wode Maya clarified that he doesn’t exist to please anyone, but he doesn’t want to brag about his accomplishments.
