I don’t regret smoking and drinking because it shaped my life – Popular Gospel musician
MOG Music, a popular Ghanaian gospel musician, has recalled how bad company led to his addiction to marijuana smoking and alcohol consumption, which he believes shaped his life.
The award-winning singer says he has no regrets because his old habits helped shape his life for the better.
MOG Music revealed in an interview with Hitz103.9 that his parents were unaware of his wild lifestyle. It took his mother’s prayers and God’s mercy to deliver him from his addiction at such a young age.
“I won’t say I’m sorry. It had an impact on me. That was because my interactions with that group of people shaped my thinking. Things had to be taught to me the hard way… I had a few friends who had this effect on me. I was a virgin at the time, so I needed to do something to make myself feel relevant in the space. “It was the drinking and smoking that did it for me,” he admitted.
He went on to say that now that he has been saved by Christ, he is not ashamed to share his past. His story is intended to inspire others and bring them closer to God.
I’m not ashamed that I have to discuss it. I am not ashamed of my past actions. I wasn’t well-versed in the subject. I was free to do whatever I pleased. When I realized that this isn’t life, this isn’t the right way,” MOG Music said, “I regret my actions, but I’m not ashamed to tell people that this is what I went through in a period of my life.
