Gyakie has been transparent about the pre-rituals she does for the majority of her tracks.
When asked about these practices in a recent interview, the Ghanaian singer, whose birth name is Jacqueline Acheampong, did not try to conceal them.
During an interview on Luv FM in Kumasi, she disclosed to DJ Reuben that, prior to the release of the majority of her songs, she observes a fast and prays.
“One thing we don’t joke with is fasting and prayers. I wouldn’t say all the releases, I think that most of the songs that come out whenever we do remember we do fast towards it,” Gyakie revealed.
The vocalist best known for her hit single “Something” also discussed the religious beliefs held by members of her band.
“Everybody on my team is very religious and that is one thing I’m very grateful to God for.”
“Obviously there is also a lot of hard work that is also done to push whatever song is coming out,” Gyakie further stated.
