‘I could not save my brother after I managed to escape’ – Man involved in Akomadan accident speaks (Video)
Seeing a close family member suffer a horrible death is one of the most awful experiences someone can have.
When a biological brother is involved, the situation becomes much more tragic. It is one of the tragic stories from the terrible accident that occurred in Akomadan.
According to a video spotted by Bestshowbiz.com, Stephen Derry was traveling with his brother from Nandom in Ghana’s Upper West Region to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
Stephen and his brother purchased tickets and boarded the bus for a pleasant journey.
According to him, the driver of the vehicle was driving at high speeds, and they advised him to be careful and drive safely, but he did not listen.
On the way, he collided with the bus, which caught fire.
The back seat passenger, Stephen Derry, was able to smash the windows and flee, but his brother couldn’t escape.
Following his escape, he attempted to help his brother but was unable due to the size of the fire.
As his sibling was being burned to ashes, he stood there watching the fire. Stephen Derry couldn’t even identify his brother once the fire was eventually put out because he had been burnt without recognition.
Stephen Derry is left with many thoughts while he sits in the Akomadan government hospital for treatment; he is confused on exactly what sort of message to send the entire family.
In an interview with Citi News, he stated that the driver was responsible for his brother’s death.
He feels his brother would not have died if the driver had heeded their advice to slow down.
