After rumors about his health began to circulate, Nigerian actor John Ikechukwu Okafor, aka “Mr. Ibu,” spoke out from his hospital bed to clear the air.
This was his answer to different rumors about his untimely death.
Mr. Ibu, who is receiving treatment at an Abuja kidney center, has refuted reports that he is in critical condition and unable to move.
Hackers have also taken over his Instagram account and bank account, he claims, and are asking for payments on his behalf.
He maintains that the requests for donations made under the guise of his illness are not from him, but rather from hackers looking to profit off his ailment.
People are seeking to sell him because he is ill, but God will not allow their schemes to succeed, he said.
