According to Andre Dede Ayew, the captain of the Black Stars, the only players with assured spots on the team are veteran players like himself.

Dede Ayew, a player whose somewhat permanent place in the Black Stars has rubbed many Ghanaians the wrong way, said that his only focus is for the team to do well at the World Cup in Qatar.
