History: There was once a man in Abesim in 1988 who k!lled people and cut them just like Richard did.

The Richard Appiah murder case in Abesim has brought up memories of what happened in February 1988 in the same town.
A man named Nana Twene and his wife, Susana Ameyaa, were arrested for a similar incident in 1988.

Nana Twene treated his victims in the same way that Richard Appiah treated his victims: he butchered them like animals.

Nana Twene, the Kontihene of Abesim, was also a Sawmill operator, and he and his wife were accused of killing their victims with their equipment.

When Lamley Sampa, a pregnant woman from Accra, went missing in the town of Abesim, he was apprehended.

The Ghana Armed Forces arrested Nana Twene under the then-military government of Chairman Jerry John Rawlings.

He originally denied his role in Lamley Sampa’s murder, but his accomplice revealed him by stating Nana Twene wanted the blood of a pregnant lady for rituals, which would have rendered him untouchable and allowed him to say whatever he wanted at the Palace.

Nana Twene and his accomplices were condemned to death by a local tribunal, and his body was attached to a car and paraded through the town of Abesim after he was shot.
