Here is why Late Constable Sandra Asiedu and Lance Corporal Sandra Adjei Were Not Honored by the police
In the year 2021, a number of police officers died unreasonably. The circumstances of their deaths have been described as unfortunate in the past.
Several were killed in the line of duty, while others had fights with their partners and were killed as a result. Others died as a result of natural causes.
It is the policy of the police administration to honor their departed officers on a regular basis in order to communicate to the public that they appreciate their dedication to the service while they were still alive.
The 2021 edition of honoring fallen heroes has been denoted, and the images of those who died have been framed for family members and high-ranking figures to honor them.
Eleven police officers who died in the year 2021 were remembered.
Their photographs were displayed at the National Police Training School in the Greater Accra Region, and a wreath-laying ceremony was held in their honor.
However, two female officers who died in the year 2021 were missing from the photos.
They are Constable Sandra Asiedu, who was reportedly knifed by her lover in Damango, and Lance Corporal Sandra Adjei, who died in a hotel room in Nkwawkaw.
Despite the fact that they were also deceased police officers, their pictures were not included among the fallen heroes being honored.
The refusal of the police administration to include them among the others has raised questions.
However, there is a simple explanation: the police administration has stated unequivocally that they are only honoring officers who have died in the line of duty.
The eleven officers who will be honored in 2021 died while carrying out their legal responsibilities.
The two female officers involved were not killed in the line of duty.
Constable Sandra Asiedu was stabbed in her own room and did not die in the line of duty. Likewise, Lance Corporal Sandra Adjei, who died in a hotel room and was not even on duty at the time.
Their incidents are still being investigated, but the sad fact remains that they were not honored despite the fact that they were police officers who died in a tragic accident in 2021.
