Heartbreaking photo of the beautiful 15 months old baby who died in appiatse explosion
The settlement of appiatse in the Bogoso municipality was ripped apart on January 22 when a vehicle carrying mining explosives collided head-on with a motorcycle.
About 12 people were killed in the explosion, which rendered the hamlet uninhabitable and destroyed several buildings beyond repair.
Ella Baidoo, a 15-month-old bouncing baby girl, was one of the victims of the explosion on that awful Thursday.
The government scheduled a mass funeral for these dead heroes on Friday, March 11, 2022, at Appiatse School Park, where the incident occurred.
Heartbreaking photographs, particularly of the 15-month-old infant, caused many on the scene to cry uncontrollably, and social media users joined in the sobs once images of the small girl’s coffin surfaced.
Ella’s dying tale is one of the most heartbreaking things that could possibly happen to a family. Ella’s father, Mr. Emmanuel.
Ella Baidoo was with her mother in the market that day, according to her father, who told the Fourth Estate News agency that she was playing with a ball when it bounced away. Unfortunate events occurred while retrieving the ball.
After learning of Ella’s death, the bewildered father returned home to find their home ruined as well.
Worst of all, Emmanuel’s biological sister was blinded in one eye as a result of the explosion.
Kate Afranie, his five-year-old niece, had to be sent to Accra’s Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.”
