On various dates in Kenya, a 35-year-old man has been accused of defiling a minor, who is a class eight learner at an unnamed school.
According to the claims, three witnesses testified for the situation on Friday, March 4th of this year.
The 15-year-old girl, whose name has been withheld due to her age, told the court that she had been involved with the accused, Michael Tazline Asengi, for nearly three months just last year.
“I vividly recall being in a committed relationship with the man in March 2020. I’ve had four sexual encounters with him.” She said this much to the surprise of those in attendance at the court hearing.
She also revealed before the Principal Magistrate, Mogire Onkoba, that the accused promised her a lot of money but never kept his promise.
The minor claimed that whenever she went to the restroom, Asengi would flag her down and drag her to the back of one of their neighbors’ houses, where he would commit the heinous act.
” I never received the money he promised me, but he slept with me, and his wife was unaware of it until it became public.” According to the minor.
When the man’s fifth attempt to sleep with the minor failed, he was caught by the minor’ s elder brother, who engaged in a fight with him before disclosing the incident to her parents, who also reported him to the police for having a sexual relationship with their daughter.
The case is still being heard, and Magistrate Onkoba will make a decision on March 9th of this year.
