A lady in her early 30s who was found sleeping with a 13-year-old boy in the boy’s residence in Houghton Park, Zimbabwe, where the youngster lives with his parents, has been detained by police.
According to a report from Yabaleftonline news, the woman abused the adolescent boy sexually on February 23 at his parents’ house.
When the minor’s mother returned on Tuesday, February 23, she was astounded to see her child being abused by the lady. She quickly called the cops, and the suspect was apprehended.
Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, a police delegate, confirmed the arrest and said that investigations were ongoing and that more information would be released when it was appropriate.
The lady stated that she had done nothing wrong because the youngster had encouraged her to engage in sexual intercourse at his family’s home. “What went wrong, and how did I know where he was without him calling? We had protected sex, and I don’t see why I should be treated like a criminal or a robber.” The unidentified lady was taken to Waterfalls Police Station and is still being held there.
Having sèx with a minor, whether or not the child consents, is a criminal offense in Zimbabwe. Serious offenses are punishable by imprisonment.
