Government employees without Ghana Card will not receive salaries from December 2021
The Controller and Accountant General has urged government employees to apply for the Ghana Card.
According to a new statement from the Controller and Accountant General, any public sector employee who has not yet registered for the Ghana card will not be paid on a monthly basis beginning December 1, 2021.
All public institutions have been informed of the decision, and all employees are expected to follow it.
As per the Controller and Accountant General, the goal is to provide government employees and retirees with quick, secure and verified payroll services.
The Ghana Card is free to register at GRA offices, but an express registration at the NIA headquarters costs 250 cedis.
