Gospel singer Ohemaa Jacky and her boyfriend arrested in Benin for trying to use fake documents to travel to Europe (video)
Ohemaa Jacky, a Ghanaian gospel performer, and her partner were detained in Benin while attempting to travel abroad.
The artist, who is facing fraud and forgery accusations in Ghana, rejected her release terms and fled to Benin in order to avoid her Ghana court case.
She and her partner manufactured a fake passport and other travel credentials, but the Benin authorities discovered the documents were fake at their airport.
According to Ogyam, who was a victim of Ohemaa Jacky’s travel fraud scheme, the musician and her partner are facing a 2-year prison sentence.
He also revealed his ordeal with another lady in Togo prison after being stopped by Togo immigration police while using Togo Airport to fly to Europe.
This same Ohemaa Jacky made the link for them to fly from Togo to Europe, but they had no idea their passports were fake despite paying Ohemaa Jacky a lot of money.
