Gospel Musicians in Ghana Deserve Better Treatment – Says Kwasi Ernest
Kwasi Ernest, a music producer and CEO of Media Excel, recently spoke out about the unfair treatment of Gospel musicians in Ghana.
He expressed his disappointment with the low pay and short performance times given to Gospel musicians compared to their secular counterparts.
According to Kwasi Ernest, secular musicians are paid much more than Gospel musicians for performing at events.
While secular musicians can earn up to GHS 100,000, Gospel musicians are often paid only GHS 5,000 or less. This is not fair, as both types of musicians work hard and record their music in the same studios.
In addition to the low pay, Kwasi Ernest also complained about the short time given to Gospel musicians to perform at events.
This is unfair, as Gospel musicians have just as much talent and deserve to showcase their skills for longer periods of time.
Kwasi Ernest is the chairman of the Table of Men, an organization committed to fighting for the rights of Gospel musicians in Ghana. He stressed the group’s dedication to improving the treatment of Gospel musicians in the country.
It is important to recognize the hard work and talent of Gospel musicians in Ghana. They deserve to be paid fairly and given adequate time to perform at events.
Kwasi Ernest and the Table of Men are working to make sure that Gospel musicians receive the respect and recognition they deserve.
