Unlike many people who would jump for excitement when they see a large sum of money behind their window, this elderly gentleman opted to do the right thing and took the entire sum of money to the Techiman police station.
The Ghana Police officers who were dispatched to accompany him to the scene of the incident observed a large number of notes consisting of GHC50, GhC20, and GHC10 that had been grouped together.
Police in the town have since seized possession of the money, and investigations are underway to determine who the money belongs to and why it ended up just behind the old man’s house in the first place.
