The current NPP candidate for Assin North, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has criticized his own government over the gold for oil deal that was announced a few weeks ago.
The government claims that this gold-for-oil transaction was one of the kinds that will enable the nation to obtain oil from other nations after receiving gold.
Even though some citizens thought this arrangement was strange and absurd, the government moved forward, and as of right now, some gold consignments have been sent to the nations that produce the oil, and the oils have been received.
Prior to the 2024 general elections, Kennedy Agyapong, who is running to become the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, has begun to criticize some of the current administration’s policies.
Kennedy said in a recent interview that the policy is stupid and that it baffles him why a party that claims to have the men would remain silent about this despite being fully aware that the deal is absurd.
He claims that the party believes he won’t speak out because he wants to be elected president, but that is false because he will speak out more frequently if he believes what is happening is wrong.
