“Going to school won’t make you rich”- Kennedy Agyapong
Hon Kennedy Agyapong, an NPP and Assin Central MP, has claimed that learning a valuable job or talent is preferable to going to school and earning a slew of meaningless degrees.
In an interview with his NET 2 TV station, the well-heeled businessman and politician said that the lack of a billionaire professor is proof that training alone will not make a person wealthy.
In some ways, Kennedy Agyapong is correct, because the majority of the world’s billionaires are dropouts who have overcome adversity to become great in their vocations.
The majority of graduates in Ghana are unemployed, and unfortunately, they lack the necessary skills to start small enterprises on their own in order to live.
It is past time for Ghanaians to focus on vocational and technical education because it is the only way to reduce the country’s unemployment rate.
