'Go On Your Knees And Apologise Or Lose Your Licence' - Kwame Sefa Kaye in trouble for saying this

If he does not apologize, his license with the National Media Commission is likely to be revoked ( NMC). Kwame Sefa Kaye was captured on tape making various accusations against Yao Amegashie, according to the case presented before the NMC. He stated that when President John Agyekum Kufuor assumed office in 2001, Amegashie was instructed to go on leave.

However, during the Ata Mills NDC era in 2009, Amegashie was recalled to the same post, which is incorrect. Mr Yao Amegashie considered such comments insulting and instructed his lawyer, Dometi Kofi Sokpor, to file a complaint with the NMC disciplinary committee against Kwame Sefa Kaye.

Kwame Sefa Kaye was judged guilty of his comments after several years of discussion on the subject. As a result, he has been requested to apologize to Mr Yao Amegashie for his remarks.

Second, he needs to go on TV and say that what he stated about Amegashie was incorrect. He has also been instructed to post the same apology on the official Peace FM website for the entire world to see and know that what he stated about Amegashie was based on his own ideas and was not realistic.

According to the National Media Commission, they may only remove a media practitioner’s license if they disobey their directives. They are unable to impose fines similar to those imposed by the court. Kwame Sefa Kaye would have had to pay damages if he hadn’t.

The National Media Commission is responsible for regulating and bringing sanity to Ghana’s media.
