“Ghanaians will soon be living in Garbage if we don’t change”- Nakeeyat
Ghana’s youngest poet and talented Kidz winner Nakeeyat Abdul Dramani Sam has revealed that, Ghanaians need a change in attitude towards how we manage waste in the country.
speaking in an interview on Happy FM, Nakeeyat revealed that, if Ghanaians do no change, the efforts of sanitation stakeholders will be in vain.
There’s a school of thought that says when the last tree dies, the last man dies so for that man, all I can say to him is that if he doesn’t take care and the last tree dies, there will be big trouble”. Nakeeyat stated.
We better change our attitude so we can develop otherwise, wahala dey…We can’t keep wasting resources on sanitation if the people responsible for the filth don’t change their attitude”. The young poet added.
Nakeeyat was appointed the ambassador for sanitation for the next 2 years by the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources.
