Christian Atsu’s state funeral was attended by hundreds of mourners, headed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The funeral ceremony was attended by many stars and fans of the former black stars winger who all paid their last respects.
Ghanaian actor Okomfo Kolaege couldn’t hold back his emotions as he pens down a tribute for Atsu in a Facebook post.
The actor claimed that Ghanaians were excessively harsh on Christian Atsu for his “minor shortcomings” when he was a player for the Black Stars.
” Gee I’ m shocked. Having lost close relatives in various settings I have a so miserable outlook on this news. He was sooner or later the best player in the Black Stars and Afcon. With little bombing, Ghanaians forgot all he did and attacked him. Presently all of us are crying.”
” Life is truly short so how about we feel a debt of gratitude and particularly the individuals who do beneficial things? I’m truly miserable today. Rest well Christian Atsu, ” he composed.
