“Ghanaians have ‘pull him down’ syndrome “- Gyakie

Jackeline Acheampong, who is a great female performer in the music industry and is better known by her stage name Gyakie, has said that the “bring him down” mentality is the norm in Ghana.

The young artist believes that one of the issues that plagues the majority of Ghanaians is a mentality known as “tear him down.” She noted that not only the music industry, but all other industries suffer from this syndrome.

“Yeah as for the pull him down syndrome it is everywhere like in music, movies, even with radio work there are plenty,” she told Amansan Krakye.

She added, “There are colleagues around you who equally wants their colleagues who are rising to fall, so as for that one it is everywhere”.

Gyakie admitted to the host, Amansan Krakye, that she is aware that being a celebrity brings with it the possibility of situations in which negative comments about her will be spread. Despite this, the songstress stated that she does not pay attention to those who say negative things about her and that she is not bothered by them.

She continued on the Kastle Drive Show, “But one thing is me I always say that my mind is set somewhere so I don’t pay attention to things around me which are not positive.

“Sometimes you go on social media and you see someone’s tweet which is negative which will hurt you a bit but at the same time you know your vision and where you want to be,” she opined.

“That’s where I set my mind to do so what everyone is saying about me and my career falling apart is my back case,” Gyakie concluded on the show.
