Ghanaians have donated $50 million towards the construction of the Nationwide Cathedral in only 5 days following a national appeal for donations.
Rev Ameyaw Ebenezer Saka, Head of Church Relations with the National Cathedral project, said this.
The national cathedral would cost Ghana $100 million, and the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, urged Ghanaians to donate at least GH100 towards its construction.
Rev Ameyaw Ebenezer Saka urged Ghanaians to help finish the project on 3FM.
“This would bring enormous tourists to this nation, employment for many people, and a makeover for tourism,”
“It was originally estimated at $100 million, but with the Biblical Garden and the Bible Museum, it will be somewhat more. I can’t say precisely, but it will be above $100 million.
“How much is in? Thankfully, the state has provided a seed amount, and we have raised funds via different fundraising events in Accra in December 2018, Washington in 2019 and Kumasi in January 2020.
