Ghana to Dubai is visa-free now – as Ghana & UAE Enter Visa-Free deal
Ghana’s parliament has approved a visa waiver deal with the United Arab Emirates, allowing Ghanaians with passports to go to the UAE without needing a visa.
According to reports, the deal was signed on November 18, 2019, to waive visa requirements for Ghanaian and UAE passport holders who wish to remain for up to 90 days.
Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, from reports, presented the MoU before the House on May 26, 2021.
The agreement was ratified on Thursday, August 5, 2021, after being referred to the Committee on Foreign Affairs for examination and report in line with Order 140(4) and 183 of the Standing Orders of Parliament.
The visa waiver agreement, which was included in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ghanaian and UAE governments on mutual exemption of entrance visa requirements, applies to diplomatic, service/special, and regular passport holders.
