Ghana Revenue notifies Oswald and his teacher to pay taxes on the gifts they received.
The Ghana Revenue Authority informed Oswald’s instructor since they are monitoring all proceedings and gifts from large businesses.
During the ‘Our Day list’ that Oswald petitioned her mother for, the instructor was given first priority.
Mrs. Appiah, a teacher at Christ Ambassador School in Dansoman, is Oswald’s favorite teacher since she helped him settle there.
The petition from Oswald said that his favorite teacher would receive a large bottle of soda from the student, but the petition letter went viral, attracting many businesses to support the ‘Our Day’.
Mrs. Appiah has now secured sponsorship agreements from some of the biggest companies, and the GRA claims to be tracking all contributions, even those beyond ‘Our Days’.
According to the Ghana Revenue Authority’s Instagram post, Oswald is too young to pay gift tax, but the teacher is certainly eligible.
“The boy is too young for gift tax but somebody should kindly tell Mrs. Appiah to get ready for us ???” The wrote
