“Ghana needs a dictator to see real development”- Kwami Sefa Kayi
According to Kwami Sefa Kayi, Ghana’s democracy is not beneficial to the country.
He made this statement when examining the citizenry’s behavior and the leadership’s underperformance in terms of Ghana’s progress.
While moderating the Thursday edition of the show with a panel consisting of Dr. Benjamin Otchere-Ankrah, a Governance Lecturer at the Central University, and Sylvester Tetteh, Member of Parliament for Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro, there were concerns raised about some Weija residents erecting buildings in buffer zones in the area.
The panelists examined why the area’s Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) has neglected buildings that have been placed in unlawful locations and the challenges of removing them.
Apart from this, there have been worries about some other unauthorized actions by Ghanaians, and when the authorities begin to move to bring the perpetrators to justice, there is a political backlash against those who wish to do the right thing.
As a result, the Chairman General concluded that Ghana is “a crime scene.” The entire country has become a crime scene!”
To him, “the democracy we are practising today won’t help us” and believed the only way the country will experience the change it needs; “we need a benevolent dictator”.
