“Ghana is struggling because we don’t have a player like Asamoah Gyan”- Coach Milo
Milovan Rajevac, head coach of Ghana’s senior national team, has confessed that the absence of a player of Asamoah Gyan’s ability has been a source of concern for him during the present Africa Cup of Nations.
Gyan was a key component during Rajevac’s first tenure as coach of the Black Stars, guiding the side to a final in the 2010 AFCON and getting to the quarter-finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
However, after his return, the squad has struggled in its first two games at the present AFCON in Cameroon, failing to win any of their matches.
Speaking before Ghana’s last group game against Comoros, the Serbian claimed he had arrived to find an entirely different squad from the one he met in 2010.
“We don’t have the same team as we did in 2010.” There isn’t enough time to prepare. “We don’t have a player like Asamoah Gyan,” the manager stated during a press conference.
The Black Stars have struggled to play together in the early games of the campaign, raising questions about cohesiveness. Rajevac continued,
“Unfortunately, we need to act quickly.” I’m attempting to put these ideas into action, and we’re on the right track. We were defeated in the opening game of the 2010 AFCON. We will undoubtedly improve.”
Ghana must win against Comoros at all costs if they are to finish as one of the best-placed third teams and proceed to the knockout rounds.
Eq. Guinea beating Algeria means #TeamGhana will need a win with at least a 2-0 margin to definitely qualify as one of the best third placed teams (if Gabon finishes 2nd)

There is a scenario in which Ghana could possibly qualify with a draw but 7 other games have to go our way😅
