Funeral competition: Mzbel releases videos to prove her father’s funeral was bigger than Afia Schwarzenegger’s father’s funeral
A video has surfaced showing fragments from the Islamic funeral process for Ghanaian artist Mzbel’s father.
Albert Amoah a.k.a. Alhaji, Mzbel’s father, died on January 27. Mr Amoah was buried at his hometown of Mankessim right away because he was a Muslim.
Mzbel and her family underwent a final funeral ceremony, known in Islam as Adua, on March 5 at Gbawe, Accra.
Mzbel’s longtime friend Afia Schwar, whose father, Augustine Adjei, had died earlier, held the final funeral in Kumasi a few days after the mzbel’s own.
Schwar was heard making innuendos towards Mzbel in one of the many video taken after the burial on March 12 and 13.
She stated Mzbel’s burial for her father was subpar, even referring to it as a “our day” celebration.
Following Schwar’s claim, Mzbel’s camp has released a video proving her false.
Mzbel is seen with guests at the all-white funeral in a video spotted on Instagram by bestshowbiz.com.
The space was neatly set up, with mourners seated behind tables, waiting for their meals.
The video also shows a vast variety of meals and local drinks that would be offered as part of the buffet.
