French Ambassador enstooled as queen mother in Ghana (photos + videos)

Osu Mantse, HRM Notse Professor Nii Nortey Owuo IV has bestowed an honorary title upon H.E. Anne Sophie Avé as the Development Queen, Naa Norley Owaa Oman I of Osu.

The departing ambassador paid a visit to the Osu Mantse, HRM Notse Professor Nii Nortey Owuo IV, and Chiefs of the Osu Traditional Council on, August 11, 2022, in order to tell them of her departure and to extend her gratitude for their hospitality.

During the gathering, Madam Anne Sophie presented the traditional leaders of the Osu community with a selection of French wines as well as an undisclosed sum of money to support the expansion of the Osu community.

In recognition of all of the hard work that she did while serving as Development Queen Naa Norley Owaa Oman the First of Osu, H.E. Anne Sophie Avé was given a traditional stool as well as the honorary title “Naa Norley Owaa Oman the First of Osu” by the chiefs of Osu.

During his remarks, HRM Notse Professor Nii Nortey Owuo IV praised the French diplomat for the accomplishments she had achieved and the services she had made to Ghana while she was serving in her position.

The departing diplomat was tasked with returning to fulfill her commitment to assist the Osu neighborhood through the “Akosua Fund,” something she had previously stated she would do.

The Osu Mantse, HRM Notse Professor Nii Nortey Owuo IV, took advantage of the opportunity to extend an invitation to H.E. Anne Sophie Avé to attend this year’s Homowo Festival, which is scheduled to take place on August 23, 2022.
