A Ghanaian food vendor, on the other hand, was seen on camera using a broom to prepare a ‘ayoyo.’ The host of Adom 106.3 FM reacted angrily to this footage, claiming that some food sellers in the nation are poisoning roadside food consumers.
When you look closely at the video, you can see that the woman has set up a stand by the highway, preparing meals to sell to passing motorists. She has a bunch of metallic pots, one of which is on fire. The one on fire clearly contains the ‘ayoyo’ soup. She was spotted placing the broom inside the ‘ayoyo’ soup pot and sterring it. Following this, she was observed placing the broom into one of the pots on the floor.
The host of Adom FM’s broadcast was so taken by the woman’s actions in the video that he inquired whether this is how ‘ayoyo’ soup is made. Someone had told him that this is how ‘ayoyo’ soup is cooked.
However, after seeing this video, some Ghanaians expressed their displeasure, despite the explanation offered by some that this is how ‘ayoyo’ soup is cooked. “How will we know that the broom was not used to sweep the floor before it was placed inside the soup?” They inquired.
