Final funeral rites of KETASCO NSMQ contestant, James Lutterodt have been announced by the family

James Edem Lutterodt’s funeral will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2023, a few years after he and his colleagues from Ketasco were recognized as heroes all around the nation as part of the National Science and Math Quiz program.

He competed for the 2021 Keta Senior High Technical School (KETASCO) team, which performed better than most people had anticipated in the national science and math quiz.

Until his unfortunate passing on July 3, 2023, the talented student was enrolled in the University of Ghana’s BSc Information Technology program.

Final funeral rites of KETASCO NSMQ contestant, James Lutterodt have been announced by the family

The family has asked that everyone who wishes to pay their respects from Greater Accra and outside join the pre-funeral ceremony in Tema on Friday, September 8, 2023.

On September 9, 2023, at KETASCO Park in Keta, loved ones in the Volta Region are also welcome to attend the last funeral rite and burial service.

As it may comfort the mourning family at this time of memory, the family “hereby extends an invitation to all friends and sympathisers to honour and celebrate the life of their beloved, James Kwabla Edem Lutterodt.”

James, a KETASCO participant who helped the team advance to its first national finals in the 2021 NSMQ, died on July 3, 2023, allegedly as a result of eating food that had been poisoned.

As the first time a school from the Volta Region progressed to that round of the tournament, it was a historic achievement.
