A Ugandan musician has swallowed his pride and apologized to his followers for being late for a Valentine’s Day show on Monday.
As part of his efforts to apologise for keeping his fans waiting for extended periods of time, Pius Mayanja, better known by his stage name Pallaso, was forced to wash the streets of Masaka City.
When the singer eventually came on the day, he apparently put on an exciting show, but his angry audience were not satisfied.
Pallaso posted pictures of himself and his friends cleaning the streets on social media.
The musician apologized on Instagram, saying he was apologetic and accepting full responsibility for arriving late.
“To all my fans in Masaka, I sincerely apologise for making it late for the show last night. I understand why you ran out of patience and the situation went out of hand. It was my fault and I am truly sorry“
Pallaso’s tardiness is said to have sparked a brawl among his supporters, who couldn’t disguise their disgust at the fact that he was practically wasting their time.
In his article, he expressed his understanding of the patron’s frustrations and apologized for his tardiness, which he said contributed to the fight.
He stated that he would not have achieved his accomplishment without the people and their support.
“I have swept a few streets with my friends downtown Masaka today to remind you that I am your son and you mean the world to me. I can’t be anything without you. I hope my apology will bring you nearer to me. I am so sorry for hurting you. Forgive me please,” he added.
