A student at the University of Ghana (Legon) who was allegedly assaulted by musician Fameye on the Okponglo road last year has spoken out about the incident.
Dave now accused Fameye and his team of theft, in addition to the dangerous driving he initially accused him of.
He described how, around 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2021, Fameye drove recklessly close to a traffic signal, nearly tipping over the ‘trotro’ in which he was a passenger.
According to him, the life-threatening occurrence enraged all of the passengers and the driver, who alighted to confront the careless driver.
The passengers of the black Toyota Camry automobile with a DV plate, including the popular Highlife artiste, were soon discovered, according to Dave.
He claimed that when confronted, Fameye did nothing except “smile in the front seat carelessly,” prompting him to take out his phone and capture the incident.
He said that the film led to him being beaten up by ‘Fameye’s boys.’

Aside from the beatings, Dave claims Fameye’s team took his iPhone 8 and drove away as soon as the traffic light turned green.

Fameye was charged with a crime at the Legon Police Station, and Dave also filed an online report.
Fameye responded to the uproar by sharing his side of the story, confirming that he was actually involved in reckless driving on that terrible day.
He did reveal, though, that Dave’s phone was confiscated because he was hurling abuses at him and his colleagues.
At the time, Fameye also indicated that he suspected the video was recorded for clout purposes, and that this would damage his renowned brand.
He stated he planned to return the phone the next day in a tweet, but changed his mind after Dave allegedly enlisted the help of several keyboard warriors to verbally harass him on Twitter.
After almost a year and three months, Fameye is ready to hand up the phone on the condition that Dave records a video apologizing for photographing the’superstar.’
