Everything you need to know about registering your sim card with Ghana card
Re-registration of mobile SIM cards is set to commence across the country. The exercise is expected to run six months, with the deadline set for March 31, 2022.
The registration, according to the government, is intended to cleanse the country’s online of fraudsters, as well as to monitor and track down people who use their phones for illicit purposes.
To register their SIM cards, users would need the National Identification Card, often known as the Ghana card.
As a result, any SIM card that is not registered before the end of the exercise will be disabled.
SIM re-registration steps:

Enter Ghana Card Pin (Note: Enter letters and figures without hyphens)
Confirm Ghana Card Pin
Enter Surname
Enter First Name(s)
Enter Date of Birth (Format: DDMMYYYY)
Select Sex
Confirm Details
Submit Details Provided After Confirmation
NOTE:
- If successful, you will get a confirmation message with a unique code
- If unsuccessful due to wrong details, you have 3 attempts to answer security questions
A second stage of the registration process requires that users visit the office of their telecom service providers.
