Efia Odo finally speaks on her arrest – Here is what she said
After being detained by the Ghana Police Service, Efia Odo, one of the conveners of the #FixTheCountry pressure campaign, has broken her silence.
After appearing in the High Court in Accra for the #FixTheCountry demo case, Odo, born Andrea Owusu, was detained by the Ghana Police Service.
She stated that she was fine with being detained in an Instagram post because she was confident in what she was doing.
“A cause worth fighting for,” reads the caption of a photo of Odo seated with her arms crossed in what appears to be a police administrative office.
Meanwhile, the High Court dismissed a preliminary objection filed by the #FixTheCountry campaign, which attempted to prohibit the Attorney General from defending the Police Service in the lawsuit.
The attorneys representing the protest march’s leaders opposed the Attorney General’s attendance in court on Monday, claiming that the matter should be prosecuted entirely by the Ghana Police Service.
