Ebony’s Death has made my Career very difficult” – Wendy Shay claims

Awarded Ghanaian female musician, Wendy Shay, revealed that the demise of Ebony, the Ruff-Town record label’s blazing star, affected her deeply.

Wendy claims that many people disliked her because she replaced their favorite celebrity on the record label.

In an interview with PowerFM on September 18, 2021, the ‘Shay on You’ singer revealed she experienced several challenges trying to get into the music industry.

“When I first started, many didn’t want to listen to me because they felt Ebony had died. When Ebony died, I expected everyone who loved her to love her successor as much as they loved Ebony,” she said.
