Award-wining Television and radio presenter Afia Pokuaa widely known as Vim Lady has opened up on constant threats on some media personnel over bias accusations concerning elections.
Vim lady stretched so hard on attacks some politicians put on media personnel over claims that they are in favor of one party saying it’s becoming an everyday thing since it always happens every election year.
in a Facebook post, the journalist stated without mincing any words that it won’t be surprised if a journalist is killed or mercilessly beaten over biased accusations.
she sated;
“The way politicians are threatening media people, we should not be surprised if we wake up to the news that a journalist has been KILLED or maimed in the coming weeks,”
Vim Lady further stretched that journalist has no control over elections outcome which politicians are aware of that yet always attacks them from being in favor of one party.
she added;
“Both NDC and NPP know journalists have NO CONTROL over election results but only report what is COUNTED at the polling stations and collation centers in the presence of their PARTY AGENTS but they still lie to their followers that the media has stolen results.
“Why must journalists be the target of attack every election while those who contest sleep? This profession is not worth OUR LIVES…,” she concluded.
this comes after some media houses were attacked after the EC announced the winner of the 2020 election with the same bias claims.
