Harnaam Kaur is an Indian resident born on 29 November 1990, and a lady with a beard. she has been keeping her beards since the age of 12 after she was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries (for which she currently takes medication), causing thick facial hair.
growing up with this condition has never been easy for Kaur. she faced all sorts of bullying and mockery; being called ‘man’, ‘a beast’, an ‘ogre’, and a whole lot and according to her she several times contemplated suicide.
she resorted to wearing a turban which gradually gave her back her confidence. she loves fashion and doesn’t hesitate to participate in beauty parlors.
Since then, Kaur’s facial challenges has never stopped her from associating with people. In 2016, she made an entry in the Guinness world record as the youngest woman to have a full beard.
Even with her newfound confidence, moving on with her love life seems to be a difficulty for her as she is hesitant. A previous engagement was broken off in her early 20s.
Today, she works as a freelance body confident and anti-bullying advocate. Kaur is a lover of sports, she took exercises as one of her sweetest lifestyles. She aims to live her life without minding people’s thoughts.
