Dzato and Grace were chosen the best pair of the season at the first edition of the Date Rush Viewers Choice Awards, which took place on July 4.
For the past six months, TV3’s data-matching reality program, now in its fourth and fifth seasons, has provided a platform for those looking for their better halves to take advantage of. Many people arrived, and some of them met companions, friends, and soul mates. Others were unsuccessful in their search.
They claim that Dzato and Grace discovered love in each other.
“I joined Date Rush in the hopes of finding love. Thank you, TV3, for introducing me to the love of my life, ” Dzato said as he accepted the award for the season’s best couple.
Grace, his soulmate,’ said her success is proof of the program’s true objective, which is to help people find love.
“I want you all to use me as a testimony. People say Date Rush is scripted. Use me as a testimony. I came here purposely to find love and here I am. I found love. Thank you, Ghana. Thank you world for voting for me,” she said.
The ‘out-of-the-box’ idea
When Ellen defied the traditional quo and proposed to Dzato on live national television, the couple drew the attention of Date Rush fans and the general public.
Since then, the pair have been seen together in intimate and romantic settings, and photos of them have surfaced online. The pair have served as an inspiration to several lovers and would-be lovers.
It came as no surprise to them when Ali and Shamima, Success and Famous, Sandra and Bebelino, Alberta and Process, and others were selected to win the ultimate ahead of them.
The award and the ceremony
The award and prize package was given to the pair by Francis Doku, General Manager of Media General Television. Camel Antiseptic is sponsoring a six-day all-expense-paid vacation to Dubai as part of the prize package.
Mr. Doku used the opportunity to thank sponsors, fans, and everyone else whose support and efforts keep the show in the top ten every week.
He promised viewers that there would be more fascinating material on MG platforms in the future.
