The funeral for the late veteran actor Prince Yawson, better known by his stage name Waakye, will take place on Friday, August 26, according to an announcement made by the actor’s family.
The actor, who was 65 years old, passed away on August 2 after being transported to the hospital after suffering a small stroke with stroke symptoms.
The celebration will last for one week and take place in Accra at the Accra Tourism Information Centre, which is located next to the Jubilee House.
It is anticipated that prominent figures from the Ghanaian film industry, together with other showbiz stakeholders, will be present at the event.
According to what Accra-based TV XYZ claims Bob Smith Jr. (Diabolo), revealed, “The family has other funerals to take care of, which is why they chose the 26th August.”
