Court Hearing on the Akuapem Poloo Appeal Case has been rescheduled, here is the new date.
A well-known figure on social media Rosemond Brown, also known as Akuapem Poloo, has had her appeal case in the Criminal Court 1 Division of the High Court rescheduled to a different date by the court.
According to sources, a new trial date has been scheduled for December 1, 2021, at which point the final decision will be rendered by the judge presiding over the case.
The case of Akuapem Poloo was alleged to have arisen as a result of her uploading obscene content and assaulting the dignity and integrity of her seven-year-old kid in a nude photo she shared on social media.
Akuapem Poloo was sentenced to 90 days in prison after the video went viral, but she was lucky in that her request for bail was accepted, and she was eventually released before her scheduled release date came around.
Her bail conditions required her to report to the case investigator every two weeks and to leave her passport with the court’s registrar in order to remain in the country.
