Couple commits suicide after their tribes prevented them from marrying

Yet-to-be couples from Nigeria have committed suicide due to ethnocentrism which was preventing them from having the love life they wanted to live.

The two love birds who have been dating for 6 years were prevented by their family from marrying because of their tribal differences despite the fact that they love each other.

After several attempts to convince their families to allow them to marry which proved futile, they resorted to killing themselves and living behind a suicide note where they blamed their death on their families.

in the note,  the couple who both hail from Anambra State in Nigeria but belong to different tribes – indicated they took in a sniper (deadly medicine use to kill rodents) to end their lives.
