Karabo Monyama, a 15-year-old girl who went missing, was buried in a small grave in the backyard of her 23-year-old boyfriend’s house in South Africa.
Lt-Col Amanda Funani, a police spokesman, confirmed the news in a statement, saying Monyama’s corpse was located on March 8, 2023.
Funani said that the victim’s lover was arrested and charged with murder, perjury, and obstructing justice.
The youngster from Cyferskuil, near Makapanstad in North West province, was last seen around midday on Sunday March 5, when she went home to watch soccer at a local field, according to the spokeswoman. She never came back home.

Karabo Monyama’s corpse was found in a small grave in the garden of her 23-year-old lover.
On the same day, the boyfriend was arrested and charged with murder, perjury, and defeating the purposes of justice. He is scheduled to appear at Moretele Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 10, 2023,” according to the statement.
