Who is Clint Walker?
Walker, Norman Eugene “Clint,” was an American actor. From 1955 to 1963, he starred as cowboy Cheyenne Bodie in the ABC/Warner Bros. western series Cheyenne.
Clint Walker was born on May 30, 1927, in Hartford, Illinois, to Gladys Huldah (née Schwanda) and Paul Arnold Walker. His mother was of Czech origin. His twin sister’s name was Lucy.
Walker dropped out of school to work in a factory and on a riverboat before joining the United States Merchant Marine at the age of 17 in the final months of WWII.
He worked odd jobs after leaving the Merchant Marine in Brownwood, Texas, Long Beach, California, and Las Vegas, Nevada, where he worked as a doorman at the Sands Hotel.
Walker also worked as a sheet metal worker and as a nightclub bouncer.
Clint Walker spouse Susan Cavallari
Susan Cavallari is best known as the late American actor Clint Walker’s wife. She was born around 1930 and had been married to her ex-husband for over two decades before his death.
Susan Cavallari has little information. She is thought to have been born in 1930. Susan had her first relationship with Verna Garver in 1948, before marrying Clint Walker. Later, she married Giselle Hennessy, who died in 1994. So she was married to Clint Walker from 7 March 1997 until his death on 21 May 2018.
Clint Walker ex-wives
Clint Walker married Verna Garver in 1948, before his acting career began, and they divorced in 1968. Clint and Verna had only one child, Valerie.
Several actors, including Van Johnson, apparently suggested to Walker that he try acting while the couple was living in Las Vegas (where Walker was a deputy sheriff providing security at the Sands Hotel).
He married Giselle Hennessey in 1974, and she died of cancer in 1994.
In 1997, he married Susan Cavallari. They were married until his death at the age of 90 in 2018.
Clint Walker’s three marriages attest to his popularity among the ladies due to his tall frame (he was 6 feet 6 inches) and sculpted physique.
