According to sources, the Chief of Staff for Ghana, Madam Akosua Osei-Opare, never sent Afia Schwar a donation of 50,000 cedis for her father’s funeral.
In order to appear connected and important, Afia Schwar said that certain authorities, including the Chief of Staff, had sent her money to assist her in planning her late father’s funeral.
Madam Akosua Osei-Opare, she claimed, sent her Ghc50,000 and even paid for her father’s body remains to be flown to Kumasi for burial.
Ghanaians have chastised the honorable member of parliament for spending public funds on Afia Schwar, and she has responded.
According to a video circulating on social media, the Chief of Staff’s office denied handing Afia Schwar any money to bury her late father.
On Peace Fm, experienced media broadcaster Kwame Sefa Kayi revealed this.
