Empress Gifty, a multi-award-winning Ghanaian gospel singer, has stated that cheating is a part of marriage and that one must prepare for it.
In an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, the Jesus Over Do singer claimed that cheating is an age-old problem that is especially prevalent in marriage.
Empress Gifty explained her argument by admitting that cheating was a part of marriage and that spouses had to mentally prepare for it in order to prevent shock and disappointment.
According to the gospel singer, couples are expected to make errors, and infidelity is one of them.
She went on to say that married couples should prepare themselves for such situations so that they can forgive and move on quickly when they occur.
Empress Gifty stated that if one enters marriage believing that his or her partner will not cheat, the difficulties that may arise if the worst happens may be too much to bear.
She believes that if individuals had this mindset in the back of their minds, many marriages would not end in divorce and people would develop the habit of forgiving one another’s flaws.
