Bernard Antwi Boasiako, commonly known as ‘Chairman Wontumi,’ the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has disclosed the age of Kumawood star Samuel Nana Yaw, also known as Yaw Dabo.
On Friday, controversial lawmaker Yaw Dabo told Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen that despite his midget-like appearance, Yaw Dabo should not be considered a tiny child.
Yaw Dabo, he claims, is over 40 years old and should not be taken for granted or derided because of his small height.
“How do you tell if someone is young or old just by looking at their size?” Do you know Kumawood actor Yaw Dabo? He is approaching 40, so someone like Yaw Dabo has registered, and if you see him at a polling location, just ask him to leave because, believe me, he is even older than you, OB,” he said.
Chairman Wontumi made the remark in response to charges made by some persons, allegedly from the opposition party, that children were enrolling in the Ashanti area without being questioned.
However, the NPP stalwart, who is hell-bent on capturing all 47 of the region’s parliamentary seats, dismissed those claims as sheer propaganda that should be ignored.
Rather, he suggested that persons with a shady past be subjected to thorough investigation by filling out challenge forms and questioning them.
People should not make snap judgments based only on a person’s size, according to him.
