Chairman Wontumi has finally disclosed the reasons why he chose Delay for his new FM station over other presenters.
He stated that he desired a presenter who would elevate the status of the new radio station, and Delay accepted the role.
Chairman Wontumi revealed that he did extensive research before hiring Delay as the host of Wontumi FM’s drive-time show, To Wo Bo Twi Me, and he has not been disappointed.
The NPP guru made the revelation at a party hosted by the station to commemorate Delay’s 40th birthday, which occurred on Saturday, June 25.
Wontumi told the crowd at the station’s birthday party on Friday, July 1, that his friends had asked him who he was going to use to get the new station noticed. These friends, he said, were wondering if he was going to bring onboard Oprah Winfrey or Queen Latifah.
Following their deliberations, he tasked a friend who was a top police officer with conducting research to determine who was the best candidate for the role. Delay’s name was brought by a friend.
He compared Delay to Akosombo Dam, while the others to Bui Dam.
