Friday, in Accra’s Cathedral Church of the Most Holy Trinity, the Anglican Communion of Ghana and the British High Commission in Ghana held a Thanksgiving Service for the late Queen Elizabeth II.
The two-hour solemn event was attended by the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia; the Chief of Staff, Madam Frema Opare; the British High Commissioner to Ghana, Harriet Thompson; and the Chief of Gbese, Nii Ayi Bonte II, who was accompanied by his elders and Queen mothers.
After the Thanksgiving Service, people from the Ga culture showed off their dancing, drumming, and musket firing.
