Georgina Asor Botchwey, who was in her last year of nursing school, was found dead and buried in the room of the Tufohene of Ekumfi Akwakrom in Mankessim, in the Central Region.

After a clergyman, who is reportedly complicit in the horrible conduct, confessed, investigators were directed to the room. The pastor is currently being held captive by the police in Mankessim, in the Central Region.

He was caught after he admitted to helping a chief k!ll a 25-year-old nurse trainee and bury her in the chief’s room.

The pastor took the detectives to Nana Crack, the Tufohene of Ekumfi Akwakrom, on Tuesday, September 20, when Georgina Asor Botchwey’s lifeless body were exhumed.

The chief, who is currently on the run, buried her after that in one of his chambers.

According to reports, the body has been buried for the last three weeks. Residents are concerned about the situation, especially because a chief is involved.

Cephas Arthur, a member of the assembly from the area, asked the inspector general of police (IGP) to make Mankessim and the areas around it safer.

According to him, this is the fifth incidence of this kind to occur in the area this year, so it is not the first.

If caught, he claimed, the pastor and the chief must be dealt with by the law. Since then, the victim’s body has been placed in the mortuary of the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for an autopsy.
